Universal Multi Fuel Thermal Store Systems
 Multi Fuel Source Heat Bank

This universal thermal store has been designed to link a number of heat sources including gas and oil boilers, solid fuel appliances, and solar as well as electric and other inputs.

Hot water is safely delivered at mains pressure through an integral coil via the fitted hot water control pack for fast bath filling and power showering without a pump.  In summer the solar coil, if utilised, will provide most of your hot water needs.

Central heating is taken from the store which acts as a buffer for fast radiator or under floor heat up.  The energy can be provided from any source, even lower temperature devices such as heat pumps if they are integrated with higher input appliances such as gas or oil boilers, or topped up with the immersion heaters.

The universal is available as a sealed system or open vented thermal store to suit different applications. The sealed system unit comes with relief valve, thermal safety valve and tun dish fitted in addition to the hot water pack (as shown here). The open vented store has the hot water pack fitted. Please state preference (sealed or open system) when ordering.

This modern stainless steel thermal store can be configured in many ways, and with up to three control thermostats fitted to the unit can be wired to suit different applications

 Pre-Wired & Pre-Plumbed

The SFUTS (Solid Fuel Universal Thermal Store) is the best choice for many as it takes the worry out of installation. It offers a fully integrated store with all relevant control and safety features. It has three pumps fitted - a boiler pump and a heating pump and a re-circulator for the solid fuel device to aid heat up and stratification.

Use oil, gas or LPG boilers with a solid fuel or biomass appliance to maximise effiencies. A solar coil is fitted in all stores to make them future-proof.

A 3amp supply from a fused spur is recommended, and you will need to wire a programmer/room thermostat to the fitted junction box. In addition a pipe thermostat is supplied loose (but electrically connected) to mount about a metre away from the solid fuel appliance on the flow pipe.

Wiring instructions come with the unit, although all the wiring except above is complete and tested prior to shipping.

You will need to connect the boiler flow and return, the solid fuel flow and return and the heating flow and return. Pumps are fitted and pre wired. The solid fuel circuit contains an injector tee and re-circulating pump to ensure a minimum return temperature to the solid fuel appliance to prevent condensation and de-stratifying the store. The circuit is pumped to improve efficiency and to make it easy to site the thermal store. It can go on the same level as the solid fuel appliance or above it.

The unit meets the requirements of G3, and has three levels of thermal protection.
