The latest innovation from Advance Appliances is the Solstice Electric/Solar combination boiler for hot water and central heating.
In the summer months, hot water is generated by the solar coil linked to solar panels. For central heating, although solar will make a useful contribution in Spring and Autumn, off-peak electricity is used to heat the store, which is then pumped around the radiator circuit.
It can be linked to other renewable energy sources such as wood burners or heat pumps to minimise use of fossil fuel.
This versatile store has all the hot water controls fitted for safe mains pressure hot water delivery for fast bath filling and power showering without a pump.
The central heating side can be specified in 3kw, 6kw and 9kw outputs, that's 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 BTUs, ideal for apartments and well insulated modern homes.
The central heating is open vented and self commissioning.
The unit is attractive and easy to install and very efficient to run. It is fully insulated and carries the company's 5 year thermal store guarantee.
Advance believes that the new Solstice is a truly innovative and versatile product, enabling specifiers to choose a range of inputs to benefit from renewable technology.
